It's slightly higher priced than the average, but what you get for a 5% hike in cost is a luxurious vehicle that's not matched by any of its competitors in the Subcompact SUV segment and even fares better than most cars in the more upscale market. To complete its SUV model base, Buick had to put out a luxury vehicle as well, and they did so with the Envision. The big brother to both Enclave and the Encore, it sets out to conquer the most demanding of clients.

The engine choices are above its predecessors with the base four-cylinder engine producing 197 horsepower and the available upgrade a significantly bigger 252 horsepower.

Despite the massive torque under the hood, the car is surprisingly fuel efficient, giving out 22 mpg inside the city limits and 29 on the highway with its base engine. The Envision is highly reliable on the road, and it offers one of the smoothest rides out there while commanding respect on the open road.

As it's the norm with Buick, Envision scored top marks with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a solid five stars out of 5 on all their tests.
