The Chevrolet Equinox vs Nissan Rogue
While there are many vehicles on the market when it comes to crossovers, the Chevrolet Equinox maintains its dominance in the field. Manufactures such as Nissan have attempted to compete with vehicles such as the Nissan Rogue, but all in all the Chevrolet Equinox is still a better bet.
When fitted with all wheel drive and the LTZ trim, the Chevrolet comes out to about $1600 more than the Nissan Rogue all wheel drive SL trim package, but it’s well worth it. We’ll explain just why we say so.
The Chevrolet Equinox comes equipped with a 2.4L four-cylinder engine compared to the 2.5L four-cylinder engine of the Rogue. While the Rogue produces 3 ft.-lbs. more of torque, the Equinox boasts 12 more horsepower than the Rogue, making it a great option for highway driving. The Rogue gets slightly better fuel efficiency at 25 mpg city and 32 highway, compared to the Equinox which gets 20 mpg city and 29 mpg highway, but the Equinox has a larger gas tank.
The Chevrolet Equinox also comes with an impressive warranty that its drivers favor, which offers 5 years or 60,000 miles of roadside assistance. The Nissan only provides its drivers with 3 years or 36,000 miles of roadside assistance. The Chevrolet Equinox also comes with two years of maintenance, which is not something that the Nissan Rogue offers.
