The 2021 Buick Envision
This 5-seat crossover SUV from Buick got a complete make-over for the 2021 model year that\s in line with the car manufacturer’s strategy to turn into a luxury brand.
The new stylish exterior with its stately lines captures your attention the moment you lay eyes on it. A horizontal grille stretched across the front gives the Envision a commanding presence despite its small dimensions and adds to the overall sharp look and feel.
Bigger than the Buick Encore and smaller than the Enclave, the Envision is designed for small families and city-dwellers that want a nimble ride but aren’t going to sacrifice comfort to get it. For 2021 the model got wider and lower to gain stability and increase legroom for its passengers.
Tons of active safety features
Every family car prioritizes safety first and Buick over delivered with the Envision. Apart from the now-classic, high-end airbag system, the Envision incorporates a lot of modern, active safety features as standard.
All future owners can count on Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Active Lane Control, and Parking Assistance. On top of these, there are plenty of optional safety features as well like a Surround-View Camera System, Blind-Spot Monitors with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Heads-up Display, plus many more.
The higher the trim, the more of these optional safety features future drivers will get yet the exact details of what’s included on which trim are yet to be made public.
Even so, it’s safe to say the Envision will be one of the safest small SUVs on the market.
Premium engine only
Since they’re aiming for consumers that are in the market for a premium vehicle, Buick took out the base engine from the outgoing model, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that produced 197 horsepower, and replaced it with the former upgrade, a 2.0-liter turbo-4 that will belt our 252 horsepower.
This way, all Envision models come with a powerful engine as their standard powertrain.
Entertainment and comfort
The exact details of every trim are yet to be made public but we can reasonably assume the standard touchscreen will be an 8.0-inch and it could go as high as 10.0-inches on higher trims.
Avenir, the newly introduced high-end trim level, will likely come with luxury perks like heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a digital gauge display.
Also, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth connectivity, and a 4G LTE Wi0Fi hotspot are very likely to come as standard.
It’s best to jump on the reinvented-Buick wagon early on as the company wants to create a new pool of customers by overdelivering. Future 2021 Envision owners will get plenty of premium features for their buck, a car that will look and feel far more expensive than it is.
