Leasing and Financing a Full Sized Chevrolet SUV from a Connecticut Chevrolet Dealership
Trying to figure out if the SUV class was built for America or if America was built for the SUVs to have a place to roam is like trying to answer the question of what came first, the chicken or the egg.
You know what, it doesn’t really matter. What’s important is that SUVs are here and they’re better than ever. Here at O'Neill's Chevrolet Buick in Avon we’ve been Connecticut's Chevrolet partner for years, and we’re proud to carry their SUV selection in our showroom. The mighty Chevrolet Tahoe and the splendid Suburban are responsible for safely driving families across the country, making their owners enjoy all the comforts a modern, state-of-the-art SUV has to offer.
Two of the best in class models, both the Chevrolet Suburban and the Chevrolet Tahoe impress with their tech-savvy list of standard features, their ample, broad and comfortable interiors, and the modern exterior design that leaves no room for interpretation on whether or not there's a beast of an engine under the hood. Those V8s purr and deliver so much power to the wheels it's hard to think of a scenario your Tahoe or Suburban won't be able to handle. Just think about the fact that both vehicles, with the right powertrain, are able to tow in excess of 8000 pounds, and that’s with a cockpit full of passengers.
The new renditions of the Tahoe and the Suburban are so good that we have them in most trim levels and equipped with every engine choice right here in our Connecticut Chevrolet showroom. Pay us a visit, and you'll also find most colors available on the spot, plus a dedicated sales team that will help you choose the right combination of tech and horsepower to meet your needs. Test drives can also be arranged.
Since we’re sure these two exceptional models will attract a ton of buyers, we felt we should also help our clients come up with the right answer to the question of how they’ll actually pay for them.
Long story short, there are three possible ways you could drive a Tahoe or a Suburban home. You can either pay for the car up front or choose between leasing and financing. Paying upfront requires no further detailing, so let's focus on the two remaining options.
Leasing is when you literally rent the car from your dealership. You never own the vehicle, you’re just paying for the right to use it every month, which comes with some perks.
First of all, since the dealership will get the vehicle back once the lease contract is over, which is every three years, on average, you have to pay less every month than if you were to keep the vehicle at the end. The dealership will sell the vehicle as a used car and recuperate a good part of its value in doing so, so you’ll theoretically just have to cover the decrease in price from a brand-new car to a used-car. This allows you to either pay less every month, or pay the same fee as if you’d finance the purchase, but get a better car for it.
There’s a downside though. All leasing contracts have a mileage cap per annum. It’s usually between 10.000 and 15.000 miles, and every mile you drive past that limit, you’ll be charged extra for.
Financing is the complete opposite. You basically pay for the right to own the car, but instead of making one large payment, you make smaller monthly ones. When a financing contract is over, the car is yours, and you won't have to pay another dime to use it.
It costs more than leasing, but with financing your new Chevrolet Tahoe or Suburban from our Connecticut Chevrolet dealership, you have something to show for at the end, plus, there is no mileage cap. Drive the car for as much as you want, and you’ll have no one to answer to for it.
Leasing will get you lower monthly fees for the same car or a better-equipped vehicle for the same price every month. It will also get you a brand-new SUV every time you renew the contract, but that's the thing, you'll always have to renew the contract if you want to have a car. Since you'll never own the vehicle, you're just renting it, you have to pay to use it, every single month for the rest of your life. Think of how renting an apartment works. It’s the same principle here.
Financing costs more per month, but there's no mileage cap, and you end up owning the vehicle once all the payments are made.
