Avon drivers can feel safer now that the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe is available for sale in every trim here at ... That’s because try as you might, you won’t find a better equipped full-sized SUV to match the Tahoe’s price tag anywhere.
Affordable and safe. In the words of Joey Tribbiani, “what’s not to like?!”
Let’s take a moment and see just how safe the 2021 Tahoe is by looking at its list of standard and available safety features.
Standard safety features
The Tahoe is brimming with standard safety features that span from the things such as classic airbag systems to state-of-the-art, active safety features like Automatic Emergency Braking that uses radar, cameras, and sensors to detect an imminent impact and then hits the breaks for you to avoid or significantly diminish the severity of the crash if you fail to do it yourself in good time.
Future 2021 Tahoe owners also get standard Front Pedestrian Braking that helps you avoid running pedestrians over at low speeds, Forward Collision Alert, and Following Distance Indicator, both meant to increase driver awareness, plus the IntelliBeam Auto High Beams.
Available safety features
With trim levels going up, so does the Tahoe’s safety features list as upper trims are brimming with the latest active safety tech.
Features such as the Service Side Blind Zone Alert that through the use of alerts placed on your side mirrors help you avoid collisions while changing lanes. Or the Adaptive Cruise Control that allows you to select a distance between you and the vehicles in front that will be automatically maintained on the highway.
Then there’s the Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, an active safety feature that first alerts you when it registers a lane change while the blinking signal is turned off and you’re not moving the steering wheel, and then jumps into action to adjust your steering wheel slightly so that you keep your current lane.
Also available are the Front and Rear Park Assist, an HD Surround Vision Camera, a Safety Alert Seat, and the LATCH System.
Finally, there’s the Teen Driver Pack that allows parents to help new drivers make better decisions while on the road by limiting certain features like the maximum speed limit and the stereo volume. It also offers details about the speed at which the car’s been driven plus the number of miles and it immediately sends an alert in the case of an accident.
