The 2021 Chevrolet Blazer – crossover excellence
Forget everything you thought you knew about the Chevrolet Blazer. The nameplate that belonged to a truck some years back is now one of the best-looking mid-size crossover SUVs on the market.
The 2021 Chevrolet Blazer is reinvented from the ground up to help the legendary car manufacturer draw even more of the crossover crowd and turn them into customers.
The first thing you notice about the five-seat crossover SUV is its dashing exterior aesthetic with blacked-out pillars that give the impression of a floating roof and the Camaro-like shape on its taillights.
A modern-looking crossover that’s bound to turn a few heads as you drive it down the street, there’s no setting the 2021 Blazer wouldn’t make its future owners proud to be spotted in one.
Stepping inside, the Blazer's dash is dominated by the color touch used to control its infotainment system. Passengers will sit comfortably anywhere, with even back seats enjoying ample legroom. You also get a generous 30.5 cubic feet of storage room behind the second row of seats, and with that folded, the storage room balloons to 64.2.
Under the hood, the 2021 Blazer can be equipped with one in three powertrains. First is the base engine, a 2.5-liter inline-4 LCV that will deliver 193 horsepower and 188 pound-feet of torque. Coupled with a superb nine-speed M3D automatic gearbox, it makes for a smooth ride inside the city\s limits and on the highway.
The first available upgrade is a 2.0-liter turbo-4 LSY engine that churns out a whopping 230 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. And, at the top of the line, sits the 3.6-liter V-6 that will belt out 308 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, exceptional figures that will get future owners a towing capacity of up to 4,500 pounds, if the Blazer is equipped correctly.
There’s plenty of tech too, considering the base model is fitted with perks such as an 8.0-inch color touch, keyless start, power features, both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, Bluetooth audio streaming, and 4 USB ports.
The Blazer comes with 18-inch wheels and can be ordered in numerous different colors.
