2020 Chevrolet Blazer's trim levels – the perfect mix and match
In its close to 70 years of production, the Blazer took many shapes. It began as a pickup truck but as of last year, it has been reinvented as a full-fledged crossover SUV.
The standard powertrain is a reliable 2.5-liter inline-4 that can produce 193 horsepower and 188 pound-feet of torque. It’s coupled with a highly-responsive 9-speed automatic, as is the second engine option, the 2.0-liter turbodiesel, inline-4 that will give future owners access to 230 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.
Trim levels
The six levels start with the base trim dubbed Blazer L.
The Blazer 1LT is the first available upgrade and it will net you everything under the base model plus SiriusXM satellite radio, deep-tinted glass, and an eight-way power driver’s seat.
The next trim level, the Blazer LT2, is basically an identical copy of the 1LT but comes with the stronger 2.0-liter turbodiesel instead of the 2.5-liter base engine.
The Blazer 3LT is the last trim before the top two premium ones. It will include everything the 2LT brings to the table on top of which it adds black roof-mounted side rails, heated power auto-dimming outside mirrors, a six-way power front passenger seat, heated front seats, remote start, universal home remote, perforated leather-trimmed seats, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert plus Rear Park Assist.
The Blazer RS upgrades the engine yet again to the 3.6-liter V-6. It also upgrades the wheels from 18-inches to 20-inch Dark Android machined-face aluminum ones and turns the 4.2-inch color driver information center into an 8.0-inch one. It promises everything else under the 3LT trim plus ambient interior lighting, a heated steering wheel, built-in navigation, and a hands-free gesture liftgate.
The Blazer Premier sits at the top of the model’s food chain and it’s because you get all the perks of the RS plus silver roof-mounted side rails, a premium eight-speaker Bose sound system, heated and ventilated front seats, rear heated seats, and memory settings.
