2020 Chevrolet Blazer – better than ever before
The brand-new Chevrolet Blazer is nothing like its predecessors. It’s cooler, smoother, far more luxurious and comfortable, loaded with tech, and extremely good-looking. A far cry from its pickup truck roots, the 2020 Blazer is a full-fledged crossover.
Here at O'Neill's Chevrolet Buick in Avon, CT , we’re smitten by the new Blazer and considering we’ve been selling Chevrolets for decades now, that’s saying something.
What makes the 2020 Blazer so much better than most crossover SUVs out there?
1. It’s one of the best-looking SUVs out there
Sitting between the huge Traverse and the compact Equinox in Chevrolet’s lineup, the Blazer is neither too large nor too small, a feature which instantly gives it a balanced look that can appeal to a wide spectrum of buyers.
The imposing front grille pairs well with the squinting LED headlights and give the car its distinctive, modern look. The Blazer seems to be ready to sprint at any moment, always on alert.
The Blazer looks slick and nimble, and future owners can expect to turn a few heads while driving it down the street.
2. It’s fun to drive and it has lots of character
The 2020 Blazer delivers a firm ride and it’s a pleasure to drive it both inside the city and on the highway.
The raspy exhaust gives it a little spunk and you’ll find plenty of power tapping into any of the three available engines.
The standard powertrain is a tried-and-true 2.5-liter inline-4 that produces 193 horsepower and 188 pound-feet of torque. Not bad, but most buyers will opt for one of the two upgrades.
The first is a 2.0-liter turbo-4 that churns out 230 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque while the top engine is a 3.6-liter V-6 that will give future owners access to 308 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque.
All three engines are paired with the same responsive 9-speed automatic.
3. It’s entertaining and extremely comfortable to ride in
Inside the brand-new Blazer, you find plenty of passenger and cargo space. The SUV is able to carry 5 passengers comfortably and for cargo space, you can depend on 30.5 cubic feet behind the second row and 64.2 with the backseat folded, which is quite a bit above the class average.
There’s also a long list of standard features that includes perks like an 8.0-inch color touch, four USB ports, Bluetooth audio streaming, both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless open and start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, 18-inch wheels, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, front and rear heated seats, LED daytime running lights, high-intensity discharge headlamps, and heated power outside mirrors.
Quite a long list of features that only gets better with every trim upgrade.
